Easy install. Only complaint is the threading. Takes a second to unscrew.
If you’re adding to an older McD, I learned to make sure you clean the seam where the old butt plate was prior to installing the new one. Just a tip.

I love being able to reach far shots instead of using a bridge. It does take a lot of turns to put it on and take it off. The alteration you have to make to the butt before it fits made my 18oz stick feel a tad lighter, which I like.

A local machine shop was able to provide a transition piece of plastic for my Huebler HS-5 and a 1997 Meucci. He cut off the "collar" in the extension and shortened the bolt slightly. Q: I have a mcdermott that I bought in 1986... would the extension work on that butt?

A: I do not believe so. Older McDermott cues had a different larger weight bolt used and this extension requires the new style (thinner) weight bolt to function properly.

Q: Is the total weight of 6.25 ounces including the 1.5 ounce custom weight bolt or is the weight bolt's 1.5 ounces in addition to the 6.25 ounces?

A: I went and measured the extension, weight bolt and bumper that is included and the total weight of all items together is 8.4 ounces.
